Climate

Climate - explained simply

When you're going on a vacation to the South, you pack your suitcase with light, airy, and summery clothes. The climate in the southern regions is completely different from the climate we have in Norway. Here we explain in more detail what climate actually is!

What is climate?

Climate represents the average weather over a long period of time. This measurement takes place over many years - usually in 30-year intervals - and tells us, among other things, the average temperature, the number of rainy and sunny days, and the wind in a specific area.

For example, the climate we have in Norway varies greatly from region to region. Where inland climate offers cold winters and warm summers, places along the coast have milder winters and cooler summers.
